Having started my DE shaving adventures about three weeks ago, I got to the point where I was getting consistently clean, irritation free shaves, and felt bold enough to try something new and different.
My original setup consisted of Arko soap, Astra SP blades, and two Baili razors - BD176 3-piece and BD179 TTO. Both are very mild shavers, BD176 especially so, but both are perfectly capable of providing BBS quality shave even for a novice like myself.
So, I decided that I needed a higher...
Proraso Nutriente e Rigenerante (Nourishing & Rejuvenating) is a shaving cream from Proraso's yellow line. It's intended for all beard types and contains both cocoa and shea butters which give it some moisturizing qualities. At present, it is only available as a shaving foam in an aerosol can and it is sold only in the European market. Proraso Nourishing & Rejuvenating is scented with a mild vanilla fragrance.
Just received my Rigarazor from Sergej. It is a classic 9/8 replica of an old Sheffield wedge with dark horn scales and brass bullseye washers. It arrived yesterday packaged in a beautiful display/travel box. Tried it out last night and was very pleased with the thin bevel and keen shaving edge. It feels great in my hand and was very easy to strop. The tungsten steel seems very similar to the fine Sheffield carbon steel of old and understand from others that it will keep a fine edge. The...
Immaculate condition. Display box corners still sharp! Everything in original packaging, including extra razors. Elastic bands still where they sat almost 70 years ago! Not even a fingerprint on this piece, a must- see.
I've had this pen for a couple weeks now, and done a good amount of writing with it. Some journal entries, a letter, general fast notes. Been writing with it using Iroshizuku Syo-ro.
Comes in a really nice storage box with a short standard cartridge and a converter. Good solid feel and weight to it in the hand when closed. The cap is a screw cap, but only takes one full rotation to cap/uncap, so you don't feel like it's taking forever to get the pen open. The bulk of the weight is in the...

God's gift to the wet shaving community.
Astra Superior Platinum is one of the sharpest blade out there yet it's so smooth, it doesn't skip or tug.
Because it's so forgiving and compatible with a wide range of razors, this is probably the best beginner blade out there. Hands down.
Did I also tell you this is also one of the cheapest blades out there if bought in 100 piece carton?
Amber Shave Soap delivers just the slightest whiff of a refreshing resin, the hint of a cool forest and the promise of unexplored depths. It's the strong silent type, in short.
I finished shaving half an hour ago, and my face is still cold. That should give you a clear indication of how effective Tangerine Creeper really is. I will be thoroughly enjoying the face-freezing while this stuff lasts because this latest edition from The Holy Black is supposed to be the last of the Creepers, according to a YouTube video featuring the two brothers running the show. Then again, they never intended to do a second release of Lavender Creeper either and look what happened, so...
