This is a classic barbershop scent with a western twist – main notes being bergamot,basil leaf, white patchouli, oakmoss, texas cedar, leather, smoke, and gunpowder.

This is the first shaving soap this manufacturer produced. This is a soft soap more like a cream in the Italian tradition. It has an excellent scent and gives good protection. The scent goes away as you use up the soap, but lathers well to the very end. It works well for face or bowl lathering. The only downside is price ($25.60) and it is sensitive to the amount of water used. With the right amount of water it produces an excellent result.

Made in Italy, this soap is rather old school, which isn't necessarily bad. The scent is spicy and reminds the user of traditional scents one found in the old days of shaving. The soap lathers nicely and the resulting shave is close. The one caveat, and to this user it is a big one, is that there doesn't seem to be much of a lubricant buffer, so the shave does result in some "weepers" and reddened skin. A very highly scented English made tallow based shaving soap. One may purchase the rather pricy wooden shaving bowl to which these cakes fit nicely, or simply use your own bowl if large enough. I found the lather quite good, although did dry a bit after application leading to a few small tugs. I might want to use more water and less lather. The scent is astounding with pine and patchouli, yet it really doesn't linger after the shave.
