From original 1950s packaging: This soap possesses all the qualities most desirable for shaving purposes. It yields an absorbent lasting lather which remains moist until removed. It is economical and best for barber's use.
NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH LATER "CUP" SHAVING SOAPS!
I am quite happy that I was able to get my hands on two pucks of this stuff. It lathers easier than any other soap I have used, even after being in storage for 50+ years (likely thanks to LOTS of tallow). The shave it provides is excellent, only falling short in the scent and moisturizing departments. The smell has likely faded from the original, but what I do get is a very pleasant and simple soap scent. Moisturizing is not really a huge consideration, but it doesn't dry my skin out at all. A really good product if you can get your mits on some!
