Looks to be the same on that is on the early Aristocrat jr. from that angle. Also the better of the 2 styles IMHO but as they say, YMMV.
It looks flat to me, no diamond, so that wouldn't be the razor in that #22 set.
I got a really close shave, a bit too much, I will have to practice more on it, but I kind of like the single edge. Those are 3 terrific razors! Congrats!
The chrome plating holds up really well on the Micromatics. I have a Bullet Tip MM that I'm sure had to have been used at some point, but it looks brand spanking new. You have some terrific shaves ahead of you!
It’s either from a transition between 48-49 or its a 1948 #16 set. With Gillette it isn’t exactly easy to tell what they were manufacturing. Though I do give them the nod for not wasting any of their previously manufactured parts.
Got another british Tech variant for the collection and this is a really heavy weight. In total: 63 grams (the handle 38, the cap 15, and the baseplate 11 respectively).
[The US ball-end Tech has 62 grams, the british fat handle flat bottom Tech 50, the US pre-war fat handle 48 grams.]
I only have seen this kind of handle made of aluminum before, but never made of brass. Maybe this is a transitional model as it fits the Tech set No. 24 except for the handle almost to a T. http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/Tech/1956 (B1 on blade) No24 Tech England.JPG (There even was a Blue Gillette Blade with the date code B1 still sitting in this box.) The razor itself never had been used. It has a very nice and heavy feel to it.
If possible I'd like to find out more about this specific Tech model.

Nice looking Fatboy!! The FB has got to be one of the manliest looking DE razors. It's just solid and beefy looking.Just received my 1958 Fatboy.

Well I finally got another one of my holy grail Razors. Eclipse Red Ring.
Apparently it was replated back in 2014 by a member Kris Krona who I’m sorry to here passed away. He replated it in the original chrome plating from what I gather. Something that from I gather is a service that no one does anymore. Any info that a member might have on this razor would be much appreciated. I noticed that the painted red ring is not the original color so I’m sending it out to Cap to correct that. Although it’s not in original condition it is very nice to look at and I’m gonna have my first shave with it today. Wallet is feeling a little lighter after this week. First, a couple from a member on the bst

I also snuck in a crusty old gal that was poorly labelled from the popular auction site

Nothing crazy but they should all shave well and now I have a couple of replate candidates!

Nice score! Congrats
Thanks gents!Well done, sir, well done...
Very nice...and unusual!I picked up this very nice Wardonia Traveler's Set on ebay recently; it arrived yesterday. What looked like a corroded cap in the auction photos turned out to be either a smudge or shadows exacerbated by some tiny scratches in the plating; in any event I think that smudge must have turned off potential buyers because I got this set for under $20 including intl shipping from the UK. Another example of a bad photo sabotaging an auction.

The blade boxes and the razor are held snugly in place by metal clips

The set has been used - the brush's logo is worn and the shave stick is missing. Interestingly, 10 Wardonia blades are in their boxes.
Modifying a modern blade is an easy process - I'll take this one for a spin this weekend.
I’ve tried modifying a DE blade to shave with a Segal razor, it’s kinda fun, just a bit of a pain... Do I still own that razor? NOPE lol
