I just bought one. I'll let you know how it shaves in 39-60 days.If these are better than the plastic version, let us know!

Why? It's super cheap as it is. You can always buy a cheap plastic shavette for $1 and make your own custom shavette worth $1,000,000 because it will be unique, like the Mona Lisa ;-)Smart move! I hope they release them in plastic scales also.
These blades are called cabinet blades or kabinett in German.Glad you're here @BoldSpice
You are definitely the expert on this blade system and I'm very excited to try it.
What holder do the half-size blades fit?
And how should we correctly refer to these blades do you think?
Thanks! The Dovo is a bit sturdier than the Chinese equivalents and it feels well made but it very light indeed so it doesn’t feel substantial at all.Wow, nice find @mjclark. I had always wanted to have a Dovo shavette couldn't accept to use only one brand of blade if I want to use the whole length.
BTW, is it sturdier than Chinese shavette lookalikes? I couldn't find the strong grasp of the Feather AC SS razors in any of the plastic "loader" type shavettes, yet.
I have almost all of them
I like this yellow Antelope shavette most.
Strong Leopards have a more substantial feel but they also are a bit unbalanced. The full metal ones are slightly too raw. Unpleasant to hold, some have blade holding issues.
For DE format, I prefer the ones with a head like a Parker SR1. Slide models seem to bend the blade and cause trouble. Full DE shavettes are quite unnatural with their big fat heads.
Having now acquired the lightweight Antelope myself I must also agree it is the best of the bunch.I concur with pretty much everything you said. The lightweight Antelope is my favorite shavette that uses the 77 blades. I also find the Strong Leopard version rawer and bitier, but it's still a keeper.
Yes but yours has that cool blue blade holder.Your model @mjclark has a nicer scales and a finer design than my model .
It is a bit of shame that the Chinese manufacturers do not make one for artist club blades. Probably because they do not manufacture those blades
But look! I modified an Antelope blade holder to take Artist Club blades!!Your model @mjclark has a nicer scales and a finer design than my model .

The mod works better on the Antelope because the nubs fit better to begin with.@mjclark
Interesting! You need to patent it now!
Well I need to buy some artist club blades now to try your mod in my antelope based shavette. I couldn't see completely the modification on the plastic holder but when I get the blades I will understand your directions.
Is the blade firm now? How do they shave by the way?
Great - looking forward to pictures and reports!Well, it's official. You all are a bunch of enablers. I have been clicking on the aliexpress links in this thread since January but managed to convince myself I like my scar free face. Just recently I found another item that I wanted from aliexpress and, since I was there anyways, now have 4 different models on their way to my house.
I know I am way late to the game, however, Future me will be back to let you know if I appreciate your influence.
