I found the final,final razor right here on the BST,cannot stop using it,others pale by comparison,CCB,Long handle,open comb new in Bronze
As much as I want to like the vast array of razors that I've tried, The Merkur Futur is the most EFFECTIVE shaver I own, and the standard of comparison to evaluate all others by....that's it!
My current go-to is the Gem Micromatic Clog-Pruf. I'm getting consistently great shaves from it.
Yep, my go to for a great shave is my Aristocrat from ~1934, I've got it in the gold case with the blade box and with a Feather blade it will give me a perfect shave every time. I love the open comb tto!
When I have time to really enjoy my shave I'll reach for my Merkur 15C or my GEM G-Bar. I usually keep a Sensor Excel around as well.
For the last 3 months my almost daily companion has been a replated Old Type on a Bob's Razor works Improved Handle (the one on the left). As much as I like my NEW Bull Mastiff, the Old Type just hits the sweet spot for me.
