Well thanks to Cal and his suggestion. I tried a steep angle on my r41. I must say I am well on my way to this brotherhood. Only after 2 steep shaves. Incredibly smooth and close shave.
I find this to be a weird-fun cult...that I want to join.
In seriousness, going steep with my DE razors the past year or so has tremendously helped the quality of my shaves. Thanks to all of you gents for posting your musings and advice.

Thanks!! I started realizing I belonged here as I realized safety bar characteristics were way "up there" regarding what was important to me. . . . and I have been realizing that while I don't use a lot of pressure, I do "utilize" pressure to fine tune the shave. Sounds SASA to me.Welcome Elvis Outlander.
