When my son was born - 19 years ago - my cousin gave me a bottle of Macallan. The taste was a bit sharp for me, but we, with help from my dad and uncle, got through about half of the bottle. Then I put it away, and didn't get back to it for another 14 or 15 years. It had mellowed in the best way possible and was absolutely delicious. Given where the Balvenie starts in the tasting spectrum, I expect that bottle should be amazing!
Brandon that's a great story! Thank you for sharing!

Here is a photo of what we're planning on opening in a few years.

Last shave of the month, and still out. No regrets for bombing this month, as I couldn't pass up on the Ozuku. Won't be joining you in April as I will be travelling and will pick up some supplies whilst overseas. Congrats on all who made it, and good luck for the coming GRUME! :)

Day 30, 96.8% complete

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Cubebe
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: Rockwell 6S R5, Ti Handle, Boots #2
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea 2-in-1 Aftershave

I used Cubebe for SV Saturday. The Boots blade felt a lot smoother on its second shave — most blades do here. Got a comfortable near-BBS. The Windrose titanium handle gets the Rockwell down to 88g, 30g lighter than the original.

Still out in the end.

Congrats to everyone who hung in there for the entire month. May you be as strong in April too.

Razor: Brassbird Lite
Blade: Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow (1)
Pre-Shave: Proraso Blue
Soap: The Dead Sea
Brush: EJ Silvertip
AS: The Dead Sea

Have a blessed Easter Sunday.
