Canadian Club

Checking in from rural Ottawa.
I’m a Wiser’s Deluxe man, as was my father before me. I proudly embody so many of the cliches about being a Canadian without even trying. Cheers gentlemen! Anybody remember this:

Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader....
I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled....
and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really really nice.

I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!

Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and the best part of North America

My name is Joe!!
And I am Canadian!!!

One of my favourite TV commercials of all time!

Coincidentally, I was a lumberjack for several years before getting "civilized", i.e. earning a university degree and getting a city job (in Vancouver, B.C.).

One of the many great things about this country is not only the diversity of our people, but how we have a foot in multiple eras at the same time. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing trappers, high tech gurus, lumberjacks and physicists. Sounds like the beginning of a strange joke, but each of their trades root the economy of the country in their own unique way.

Welcome. There’s a decent number of Canadians here but this thread gets very little attention. B&B is a great place to learn and discuss. We’ve got lots of good vendors north of the border as well.

Hey all! Checking in From Waterloo, Ontario. Just about at two years into this hobby. A couple favorite razors from our very own country right now are my Wolfman WR2 1.25 and my Henson Aluminum razor manufactured just down the road from my house!

cheers all
