All Aventus August ‘23

All Razorock Emperor today. A soap that covers all the basics with a very nice and clean scent. Excellent for the money for what one gets. The splash and parfum are definite must haves as they add a great finish once the razor and soap duties are done. The “Reissue New” with its used and weathered look did not lack in the whisker removal department. Feeling like a newborn’s baby’s buttocks.

Tonight another AAA shave with Emperor this time lathered with the T3. My favourite razor, the Rocca was up for tonight's shave with the 3rd use SharpEdge for 7 O'Clock week. Lathered up well and gave a thick luxurious lather, the RazoRock soap base is growing on me even though it is not my favourite it is certainly worth the money.
The Rocca performed flawlessly and even managed a BBS with a clean-up pass once again cementing it's position as the number one razor in my rotation.

Thanks off island these days but that is hitting home I lived less than 5 miles from the fire till I was in my 40s its devastating

Summary - First shave with this new to me British Tech. Good shave with a mishap on the head as I decapped a little bump. Other than that smooth and comfortable.

All Aventus August ’23

Succes once again and I make no excuses nor will I apologize for using it. I could truly stay with this artisan producer and with this particular scent for the rest of my days as a shaver. To me, it is perfection and delivers in every aspect that I look for. Now, this is just hypothetical and I know the shave powers that be would never deprive me of other soaps with this scent profile but, if I were to be stripped and allowed only one, this would be it. There, I said it.

On a side note, the Club De Nuit Intense Man is the parfum version. A bit smoother and not as bracing or sharp in the opening as the original edt. Doesn’t project off of the skin as boldly as the OG and has a much more calmer demeanor as it dries down. I give the nod still to the edt version as I like that visceral opening with that near lemon scented cleaning product aspect but, this is really nice as well.

Nothing to report but a super smooth shave today. Venture is an excellent soap (or perhaps more of a firm croap)... excellent slickness, nice cushion. It's very easy to produce a ton of creamy goodnees with this recommendable product. Btw, it smells gorgeous.

Tonight for SV Saturday and once again in honour of AAA Opuntia did lather duty with the Purple Mink. I loaded the Rockwell with the 7 O'Clock SharpEdge on the R6 plate as I find the larger gap works best with the 6C. The SV lather was excellent as always, that and MdC Monday are the highlights of the week for me.
The shave was very comfortable and left me with a very near BBS and an all round great shave.

PAA Doppelgänger Gray Label soap (CK-6) & splash. Excellent soap performance this morning and honestly, one can skip using a fragrance/cologne/perfume with the splash as it doubles as a cologne with better than average performance for a hybrid after shave splash/cologne. But, I’m a weirdo and I just love to spray or splash on a fragrance. Supremacy by Afnan did the honors nicely. Additionally, not a bad first shave with the Stainless Yaqi Ultima. More shaves to follow with this tool.

Tonight was my 18th AAA shave of the month and lathered with the Evil Zebra gave yet another excellent shave. I decided for the last shave with the SharpEdge of 7 O'Clock week to help it's failing edge along a little by using the R41. The shave was quite comfortable and the R41s added efficiency led me to a BBS finish in three standard passes.
After finishing my 100 ml Old Spice this morning I am starting to 3017 my Proraso Green. Now I'm down to 4 aftershaves.

Tonight another AAA shave with Emperor and as promised I brought along the Omega Pro to get my soap usage up a bit. I'm not sure how much difference it will make to my usage, but even if it only makes a small difference it will make the 3017 shorter.
The Minora seems to be an excellent blade and even in the mild R89 managed a shave that was so close to a BBS as makes no difference though there was one slight rough patch on my neck that honestly I have to put down to user error.
