All Aventus August ‘23

Easy as 1-2-3. Executive Man by Stirling, nothing else to be said. Went with the Yaqi Telstar with a Gillette Minora and it was actually a lot smoother and efficient feeling that I remembered. A really nice and comfy shave. Tied it all up with CDNI for a robust and manly scent finish. Not the King but, very close indeed. And in the air not a soul could tell the difference.

Tonight for SV Saturday and AAA I pulled out Opuntia once again, this setup is rapidly becoming one of my favourites and I'm enjoying this brush more and more. If I was to have only one setup for the rest of my life I think this (probably with the Personna Platinum blade) would be it.
I started a Tiger Stainless blade for the remainder of Tiger Week, I have found this blade to be better than the Platinum. The shave tonight was much better than last night and ended up in a BBS.

Even with all my mixed feelings about my current RAD the Rocca is still on my list to acquire one day. I just have to know how it shaves. I already like how it looks!

Tonight for AAA another Emperor shave, this time lathered with a Semogue boar that I haven't used in quite a while, the 1305. Although my preference is for synthetic brushes nowadays I have a new appreciation for boars when it comes to 3017ing a soap. My final shave of Tiger Week was with the second use Stainless before I start 7 O'clock week tomorrow.
The Lupo was good with the Tiger Stainless and gave a BBS, bit it felt a little rough, a fact bourne out by the sting as I applied the Old Spice.

Fine Classic was a good soap. I have three tubs of the new stuff and it is okay, but, I will likely never buy it again. If I want an Aventus soap now I think I would go for Succes from Ethos.

This is not my favorite of the “Aventus” themed soap and splashes. The scent is not close to the famed juice as compared to the others in my collection. Also, I have some sort of reaction to the soaps ingredients that gives a tingling sensation to my skin on contact. Not unbearable but, still uncomfortable and annoying as the lather that it builds plus the comfort and glide is very, very good. Sucks that I can’t use it as much. Sometimes you have to suck it up and not be a damn pansy. The GEM Contour did an excellent job of removing the whiskers in 3 solid passes as the soap provided great protection and comfort sans my light skin reaction while it was on. The splash was solid in sealing the deal. I know, Neroli Sauvage by Creed is not Aventus but, I like it! For the greater good of shavekind.

Kinda finding my fav soaps so been testing CC Cream is my top with SV stuff
for my testing Fine Platinum went in my box of misfits as did my Captains Choice Soap which I can get to work as well as the Cream not sure why

but have been LOVING the Aventus August

Since I didn't shave yesterday I opted for a little step up in terms of efficiency... what a beasty slant this Yaqi Top Agressive Slant is...
No nicks, two smallish weepers which were flushed away by the AS...
BBS, sure.

Tonight back to Emperor for AAA lathered with my RR Beehive for the consistency of using as many RR products as possible. It lathered well so I found it easy to get a great lather with this brush. The 7 O'Clock SharpEdge felt quite rough in the Lupo and I ended up catching my neck with the corner of the razor resulting in a little leak of blood.
It did manage a near BBS finish, but I value comfort more than efficiency and last night's R89 delivered a superior shave. There was quite a bit of sting from the Old Spice.
I am so glad to see you are OK @Ckmaui and I hope you and yours are well at this difficult and sad time.

Another FINE Platinum shave... I used my Wolfman, it's Wednesday, after all... I did my regular two pass routine, added some touchups and was ready for a crowded day... very comfy.
