August 31st

After somehow getting signed up for "Down Low", I've laid low all month. Doesn't mean I haven't been using ARKO...

Not done yet... Currently traveling with only my ARKO, so another week of ARKO coming up.

Pre-shave: no
Lather: ARKO!, bowl-loaded/face-lathered
Aftershave: hot shower
Post-shave: warm shower

Last shave of High Efficiency Summer and ARKO! August was last night and it closed out the two events for me nicely. Close shave, done quickly, with barely any aftershave sting. Feels like I’m on the cusp of replicating the shaves I was getting with my Micromatic Open Comb with a less expensive blade. And it was also powered by ARKO!

Thanks very much for the shout-outs, guys. Let's remember, though: If I did this on my own, it would be a pretty boring "event". You all are what makes this special...and ARKO!, of course!

I finished the month as I started, using ARKO! for every shave. It's a fantastic value soap and I'm sure my tub will keep me going for a few more years of this event.

I hope everyone enjoyed Arko August as much as I did! Now I'm back to evaluating some home made soap with castor oil, will see how it works. Probably not as nice as Arko I'm afraid.

I still have a little left of the stick I started six years ago, using it in August, so I guess two sticks a year would serve me well.
