Brushes and software. My small collection of both I would characterization as inadvertent. My Plisson synth and MDC suit me fine.

Until the oil runs out!!I just feel like with how good and how cheap synthetics are, theres no need for natural hair brushes anymore.

StanHi,
No interest in what I don't already use, which are:
Slant razors
Open Comb razors
Horsehair brush
Personna Med Prep or Lab Blue blades (made in Verona, VA, USA)
Vintage Oster tallow soap mixed 50/50 with modern Carden Farms glycerine soap
In an Old Spice mug
Face lathering (so, no lathering bowl or scuttle)
Lubriderm by way of aftershave
I have been at this since 1976, so I have tried a good many things which I don't use any longer. In other words, plenty of time to have figured out what works best for me.

You’re response had me in stitches. You sound old, grumpy and set in your ways (in the best possible way!). Knowing what you like and what you don’t, and being very straight about it, is one of the best parts of getting old. You are a legend and I hope that one day I will get off the fence and settle on my own very specific selection!
Well, when that happens, we're probably going to have bigger concerns that how to make shave brushes.Until the oil runs out!!
Right, missed that one on my list earlier, preshaves are another that I probably won't be bothering to pick up anytime soon.No interest in pre shave oils or brushes without backbone.
Um, because they are NOT less? The newer synths, in my opinion, are far superior to badger hair in every conceivable way. If you haven't tried one of the latest generation of synth brushes, you don't have any idea what you are missing. No real interest in synthetic brushes. I'm a dyed in the wool badger man. Why settle for less?.......
…. Badger brush that is in my profile picture. ….

I have a beautiful best badger in a vintage butterscotch Klenzo handle that I keep only because it looks good on my chest-of-drawers.
