Working my way through all of my Martin de Candre soaps this week (Agrumes, Vetyver, Fougere, Rose and Original). Today I had a terrific lather with the Original. Just an amazing soap.

As you know, scents are very subjective.I have the rose and argrumes and love their scent and performance. What is your order of favorite scents for your MdC collection? I’m looking to get another one and I’m not sure which one to get. Thanks in advance!
Yes it does. Thank you.As you know, scents are very subjective.
The Vetyver is the most potent scent, one I did not appreciate at first, but is a nice winter scent. To me it smells like a forest with hints of smokiness. Really potent scent.
Fougere is a favorite of many and I too like it, but not more than Original. The Fougere is "fern", but I really do not know what a fern smells like, so maybe I don't appreciate the scent as much as others. I also have SV Felce Aromatica (fern) and it is a great soap, but not my favorite SV scent.
Original is a mild floral scent (lavender, I believe). It is really nice. I received as a gift from my wife for Xmas and I have only used a handful of times, but I like it a lot. It has a refreshing scent, but not as strong as Rose. It is a safe pick of the three (Original, Vetyver, Fougere), but you might find its floral scent too similar to Rose or Agrumes lemon scent. If you want something completely different than Rose, Agrumes or Original, go with Fougere or Vetyver with Vetyver being the most intense.
I hope this helps!

Razor - Occam's Razor Enoch
Blade - Feather Professional
Brush - Wild West Brushworks "Nova" 26mm silvertip
Soap - WCS Fougere cream
A/S - Proraso Cypress and Vetiver
Another superb shave from the Enoch. I'm loving this razor. It has provided me with super close shaves and a clean, comfortable face afterwards. It feels good to handle, and I'm getting more comfortable with the angle. The brush gave me an awesome lather and has a fantastic knot, and the cream is so green and fresh-scented, I love it.

Razor - Supply Single Edge
Blade - Supply/Personna
Brush - Craving Shaving "Woodstock" 26mm Duro
Soap - Men's Soap Company Sandalwood
A/S - Supply Arenella Coast
Nice to contrast the Supply with the Enoch. On the face the Single Edge feels smoother with the mid plate, but I actually had a bit of irritation for an hour or so after the shave. Then again, I was running late and going kinda fast. The Men's Soap Company gave an airier lather than the kind I tend to prefer from many of the artisans, but the ingredients are good and it really did work well; lots of slickness that in combo with the Supply gave a gliding shave.
I love that brush from Derek. That was one I was watching.
It's sort of an unusual combination of colors, but it really grabbed me, and somehow they work.
