Oops! I’ve been doing it wrong.Don't know about 2000, but we're here for you now.
And Gillette actually did recommend leaving the lather around your chin and mustache area until last, to allow the shaving cream to work longer on the areas that were typically tougher or sensitive. Pretty sure this was well before 2000.
