Yesterday's shave was with a blade that should have already been tossed and gave me minor irritation on my neck, so I went with a mild, smooth razor. With the grain went fine. Across the grain under my sideburns showed a good bit of resistance, but that's to be expected. Against the grain was no trouble. Moderate feedback from the aftershave. 3 passes has me Baby Seal Smooth with no drama.

This soap and aftershave combination is just plain delicious and is probably my wife's favorite.

First impressions makes me feel like this blade will be better than the previous jaws blade.

There was blood before I stepped into the water. I ended up with a slice on my finger while loading the razor! Surprisingly the blood didn't attract any more sharks.

Got a decent three pass shave this A.M. but got a minor FIN cut on my chin from the rouge Shark & two areas with mild irritation on my neck.
The Shark Platinum started off somewhat tuggy but finally settled down,

Since I've used and liked the Shark SS before, I decided to start with that one as a baseline.

That went well.


Basically, a 3 pass BBS with no ensuing drama, reminding me why I liked that blade.
Not much to say when nothing goes wrong.

I decided to take a conservative approach to starting off Shark Week so I used a Shark Super Chrome in my RazoRock Game Changer .84 SB. Fortunately the Shark didn't take any bites and I got a pretty good shave, DFS+. One tiny weeper but it stopped after a cold water rinse. Next shave I might get a little bolder and try my Lupo 95.

A fine first outing swimming with the shark! Went with Platinum to begin. A DFS result with no blood in the water. I found the blade to be ok, not super sharp nor super smooth but acceptable nonetheless. Hopefully it’s sharpened up a bit for tomorrow.
