What's new

Your five favorite songs

Something like this just off the top of my head from what I have been listening to lately…

Triumph - Magic Power
Rush - 2112 (Temples of Syrinx)
Post Malone - Circles (or Chemical, which is new - he is brilliant IMO)
Vivaldi - Four Seasons Spring (Itzak Perlman version)
Zac Brown - Chicken Fried

Boy, when we include instrumentals as well as all genres, that's really tough. I think I'd go with
Bargain--The Who
Better Things--The Kinks
Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major--Yasha Heifetz
Your Smiling Face--James Taylor
Wave--Oscar Peterson

I'm sure this list could change later this afternoon.

This is subject to change within minutes but here goes ...
1) Back On The Chain Gang - The Pretenders
2) Things We Said Today - The Beatles
3) Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
4) Together Again - various versions of the Buck Owens classic, particularly Emmylou Harris' and Vince Gill's
5) Love Is The Answer - Todd Rundgren's Utopia

It's . . . too . . . darn . . . hard . . .

Yeah, I can't even make a good effort at that. I'm just going to add my +1s to what I'm seeing so far.

Sultans Of Swing - Dire Straits
Easily one of the best lead tracks ever laid down.

Sleep Walk - Santo & Johnny
This song is timeless, and I'm still mesmerized every time I hear it.

“Dead Flowers”
Townes!

The Weight - The Band
A whole course in songwriting could be taught from this song.

Back On The Chain Gang - The Pretenders
Great band, great song.

• The Girl from Ipanema version by Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto.
• I walk the line by Johnny Cash.
No better music than these two. There might be others as good, but these are as good as it gets.

Radar love - golden earing
There's a cool factor here that's hard to match.
