Moustache from about 18 until 20, shaved it once or twice during that time. Grew a full beard at 20, I just turned 58, I think I've shaved my beard and moustache off once or twice but the last time was in my 20s and that lasted all of about two weeks before I started growing it again. It was black with a little red and brown interspersed back then, it's mostly white now. I'd shave it off now just for something different but it covers some of the adult acne/rosacea I've developed in the last 12 years, so I keep it. I keep it fairly short, when my moustache starts growing down over my lip and getting in my mouth, I know it's time to trim everything back. I've tried keeping the 'stache short and letting the beard grow out and get bushy but after about six weeks I can't stand it and have to cut it back.
