TIGER WEEK STARTS the 14th of AUGUST

I wasn't expecting much for a $6 TTO. I was expecting something like the Dollar Tree TTO, and the weight alone sent that theory flying. It really shaves well, and I'll probably purchase a second for my travel setup.

Exactly. Mine was a throw in to qualify for free shipping. I thought it might be a travel razor. Now it’s in my permanent rotation.

This evening the weather changed from showery (Irish Summer weather) to thunder and lightning and rain heavy enough to drown you standing up (Irish Autumn weather, monsoon season) so naturally I decided the best thing to do was dig out something summery and citrusy and make believe I didn't get drenched today. It was a choice between Don Marco and Moon Soaps Sorrento, after a sniff test I determined that DM smelt like oranges where as Sorrento smelt like a fart in a tub, though I am coming around to my son's way of thinking that it has a paint drying note in there too, so much for "smells like an Amalfi orange grove".
The shave went very well, but despite being smooth it ended up in a DFS so I am binning this blade and finishing out the week with a Tiger stainless (yellow).

I absolutely love the Baili TTO. As you noted, the audible feedback is great. It’s one of my loudest razors, about on par with machined aluminum ones.

@Jay21 and @geneaut I bought the Razorock version for my son 2 years ago and he leaves at my house. I haven't used it before but I may take it for a spin next week!

OK, I read the asterisk remark. But ball-end handle is not a sufficient information for me. What are the bottom plate and cap? There are 2 cap thicknesses and 3 bottom plate. Any photos?

Sure Ivan - I think it’s a thick cap. One of the later version I recall from one of your earlier comments.

It does have a thicker cap compared to the early versions. Also has a thicker bottom plate than the earlier ones. Compare to the 5th head on that photo, which has an even thicker bottom plate.

Don't pay attention to the handles on that photo. They only denonstrate head differences. Your handle is the right one for your head.

Excuse the overly dramatic photo. I moved the Tiger to my Maggard Slant and it was much more efficient. I ended up with a BBS- very comfortably.

Tiger shave 5. 3rd blade first shave.

Today was a nice comfortable shave with little to no alum feedback. The Tiger does leave a little more stubble after the first pass than I am used to but I'm beginning to think it might work better in a more aggressive razor. The gap on my WR1 is .67.

Tonight for SV Saturday and AAA I pulled out Opuntia once again, this setup is rapidly becoming one of my favourites and I'm enjoying this brush more and more. If I was to have only one setup for the rest of my life I think this (probably with the Personna Platinum blade) would be it.
I started a Tiger Stainless blade for the remainder of Tiger Week, I have found this blade to be better than the Platinum. The shave tonight was much better than last night and ended up in a BBS.

BBS smooth shave
