Friday’s shave.
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable setting 6. I read somewhere that the Super is the most aggressive of the Gillette adjustables.
Blade: Gillette 7’Oclock Permasharp 1st use.
Soap: Nivea.
Brush: Semogue Taj boar.
Preshave: Warm rag.
Postshave: Thayers witch hazel, Cella red aftershave , Proraso white balm.
Alum feedback. Face: low Neck: low.
Smooth: 9.8/10
Close: 9.7/10
Soap: 9.8/10
Fantastic shave today. As close to a 10 as I’ll ever get I suspect. I never get BBS on my lower neck or the cheek area next to my goatee.

Yes, at 9 it has the biggest gap compared to the Fatboy and the Slim @9.

7 O'clock week. 1st use of the Sharp edge. I do find it lives up to it's name. It's sharper than the Green Stainless Steel I used previously but not quite as smooth. We will see what tomorrow brings!

There are differences even in fhe different batches of both the NEW SC and NEW LC models . Some are with more, some with less exposure. So I think it's not in your head.

Second pass of the Super Platinum Black.

Excellent shave. One small weeper on the chin.

The SP Black is the winner for shave quality, with the SharpEdge Yellow second, and the Permasharp Green third. Still a decent or better shave from the Yellow and Green. Won't be throwing them out.

So it will be the SP Black for the final shave tomorrow.

Gotta say the Green did not seem to perform as well on the second shave as I remember from previous experience.

Saturday’s shave.
Razor: RazoRock Lupo 72.
Blade: Gillette 7’Oclock Permasharp 2nd use.
Soap: Cella. The Cella in the photo is not what I ended up using. I didn’t know Cella makes a rapid version which is like Cremo. I put a dollop in the bowl. What the heck? No lather. I thought maybe it succumbed to the hot weather we had lately. My next thought was maybe I bought a tube of balm. Nope. Read the label dummy. Oh well, I used the regular version of Cella Aloe in the tube. Ah, that’s more like it.
Brush: Omega boar.
Preshave: Shower.
Postshave: Thayers witch hazel, Cella green aftershave , Proraso white balm.
Alum feedback. Face: low Neck: low.
Smooth: 9.2
Close: 9.2/10
Soap: 9.2/10
Definitely not as smooth as yesterday’s shave. Still a DFS.

Rockwell 6C on plate 4. Stirling Deep Blue Sea. Still using the 7 O’clock Super Platinum I’ve used all week. It could be slowing down, or my lack of prep on a two day growth of whiskers may have been the issue but it was only a BBS lite. It was also a quick shave so I’m leaning toward I asked too much of it. We will see how it goes tomorrow.

For last night's shave I decided on Explorer because I haven't used it in a while and it is such an excellent soap on a par with SV for my money. Gear wise the Rocca brush and razor were on shaving duty. Apart from the blade this is another of my favourite setups and always delivers a fantastic shave.
Tonight, although the 7 O'Clock SharpEdge isn't my longest lasting blade I was still able to get a near BBS out of it on the 5th shave so I'm happy with that

Tonight for SV Saturday and once again in honour of AAA Opuntia did lather duty with the Purple Mink. I loaded the Rockwell with the 7 O'Clock SharpEdge on the R6 plate as I find the larger gap works best with the 6C. The SV lather was excellent as always, that and MdC Monday are the highlights of the week for me.
The shave was very comfortable and left me with a very near BBS and an all round great shave.
