Well just added one GEM to my collection of excellent razors, this model is called GEM Junior Parade with the short taper plastic handle MFG 1938 .
Razor : GEM junior Parade 1938
Blade : GEM Personna SS PTFE (5)
Soap : B&M Seville
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Preshave: Wet the face + Aloe vera gel
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave: Razorock XXX + witch hazel + nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + Alum block indicates very little irritation=

Have some great shaves!

Whoa, a straight up BBS!!! Must have been a great shave. I've heard very good things about that handle, and admittedly I haven't tried my GEM Junior yet....I really need to.

First time shave with my Perfecta Lather Catcher. I used a modified GEM SS PTFE blade on it's 11th shave | Valobra Fougère lathered with a Yaqi 26mm Timber Wolf | Finished with Thayers Rose Witch Hazel. 3 passes (WTG, XTG, XTG/ATG) and I had a solid DFS. WTG: ATT SE1, Feather Pro (2). Coulda stopped there if I was in a hurry, but I had a bowl full of warm lather so I wasn't gonna do that...

XTG, ATG: Ever-Ready 1914 Little Lather Catcher, PTFE (1). The pleasure of a fresh Gem blade, in a nice vintage razor. A home-shop copper handle gives this setup mass to run smooth.

Proraso Green, Nivea sensitive skin afterward.

A nice, uncomplicated shave. Nice and smooth. No drama.
