One heck of a guy. One heck of a movie, too, if you have the stomach for it. Horribly gruesome and yet so uplifting. The world could do with a few more like Desmond T. Doss.

I'm planning to see it today. FWIW, there are two others much like him, although not nearly as incredible. Thomas Bennet and Joseph LaPointe were both medic Conscientous Objectors in the Vietnam war who both earned the Medal of Honor.
