Notes to today’s shave:

Took the GC2 for another spin as it will be retired for a month during Vintage April. I have been eyeing additional vintage razors, including a Dutch brand to have even more razors to use in April, but so far still being able to hold back. Jack wasn’t exactly helping with that beautiful Le Coq either. Man! buying razors in bulk is so much easier!!

The combination was smooth and effective and while the blade gave a very good performance (also given three head shave).

Details can be found in my journal here.

Enjoy your shave!

Still in, 1 day of growth

March GRUME and all over Acronyms I signed up for this month : 17
2023 GRUYERE : 50

Razor : Merkur 34 HD C
Blade : Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Pre Shave : none
Soap (SOTM) : Palmolive classic
Brush : Semogue 1305
Aftershave: OSMA Alum Block, Nivea Sensitive Calm Moisturizer

Well I just passed the 50 shave mark for the year, I know for those of you on a daily shave this event was in February but it is hard to believe I have done so many.

Sub standard shave, dry skin tugging blade, oh well there is always tomorrow and the last one of the month. I have still not decided what I will do next month.

1954 Gillette flair tip Super Speed with Q Shave blade, D.R. Harris Lavender and Parker Badger Silvertip.

Today's soap and brush combo was pure luxury. The razor received a standing ovation and a DFS+ finale.

For your jazz listening pleasure...

Hello friends

What a shave today!

I don't remember a baby's butt this smooth in the last 50 years. It's quite true that my memory has been terrible for a few years now.

Merkur Progress (5/4/3), Gillette Nacet (3), MdC Original, Semogue SOC Mistura and Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla… what a team!

To accompany the event the crème de la crème, John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman.

Have a nice day and great shaves!

28°C?
Darn, we are freezing here. +4° with 65km/h winds.
I am glad to hear the Porgress gave you an unforgettable shave, though. :c1:

I went into this month to discover how well Stirling's Beef Tallow would compete with my favored Mutton. I have to say I leave this month with expectations exceeded. I knew the standard soap recipe was really good, but I never took the time to really sit with it and dial it in. The monthly GRUMEs allow for this opportunity and as a result allows for better technique and appreciation for what's already on hand.
