Yeah it's too many, but It's been a blast collecting them and I'm 99% certain the RAD has finally subsided.

According to the app I use 180, I have shaved with all of them at some point but my usual rotation has me going back to the same dozen or so DEs most of the time. I like to mix it up and do things like SE September and usually around Christmas I break out the straights since it's cold outside and I have the time to make an event out of my shave

Only 5. I get some new ones in every now and then but if they don’t push anything down a peg after a while they get sold. I watched a video at one point from Scott of Declaration Grooming and he mentioned how he only had two razors. It spurred a little conversation about how when you have to many razors you have to keep adjusting your technique and you end up not getting consistent shaves. Don’t think I could ever dwindle down to just 1 but 5 keeps it fresh enough for me.

1. Razorock Lupo DLC
2. Carbon Copper CX .68
3. Charcoal Goods gen 1 (lvls 1,2,3 plates)
4. Razorock Lupo SS .58 and .95 plates
5. Yates brass H plate

I have only 5 razors now and, to me, it's still too much.

- Gillette NEW RFB #44 (1933)
- Gillette UK Tech #24 (1956)
- Henckels 34n HD
- Gillette british aristocrat junior #48 (1948)
- Gillette blue tip Rocket (also known as the 'envy blue tip', according to @Hannah's Dad )

If i had to choose only 2, i would keep only the RFB #44 & the UK Tech #24 without any hesitation.

But the problem is that i cannot leave the Henckels & the two british Gillette TTO since i also appreciate them very much & they are not easy at all to find... 🤔 Especially for the cheap price i paid for them !

If we are listing all razors then I can add two single edge. I have an I2 I believe Hydromagic and a Gem Flying Wing bullet tip. I have never used a Gem Razor, but, I had and used an E-type a few times before a purge of the den. There used to be a lot more razors.

I would have a lot of fun with this thread if I actually knew how many I had. If I wasn't neck deep in packing to move I would have also had fun pulling them all out and cataloging them.

I guess once I move I may set aside some time to put a proper post together for this thread but until then I'll just say that I have I have a cr@p ton of vintage Gillette, Gem, Schick and Valet razors along with a handful of moderns.

My R.A.D. is strong and I am still on the hunt for some more vintage razors but my attention is much stronger towards some specific modern razors I want (badly).

I have to say that I love being a part of this (awesome) group of like minded people. Using and restoring tools from 40 to 100+ years old has its own unique feeling of satisfaction. I believe this is what has spurred on the new niche industry of "modern" razors. It's quite amazing how modern technology and machining have transformed the look and feel of these tools we all use for simply cutting the hair off our faces. It's kind of mind blowing to say the least.

I do love seeing all the different collections you all have, big or small. Keep 'em coming!
