Anyway for Gillette to release info on Safety Razor prod. numbers?

I think it would be interesting if Gillette could tell us how many razors they made of each model, from the 1920s-1970s. Also I would like to know if the razors were made in just one factory or more. I.e. how many Fatboys did they make or slim adjustables.

I would be really surprised if they still had information like that. Gillette just isn't all that historically minded.

As early as the 1920's Gillette had factories in Boston, Montreal, Berlin and Paris. In the early days you could determine how many razors were made based upon serial numbers. But, after 1921 there really isn't any way to come up with any count.

Gillette was bad enough when it was on its own. Now that P&G owns them, and there's been a major housecleaning in Boston to make way for people who think "The P&G way," rotsa ruck.

I don't think most P&G PR and communications people are even aware that GIllette once made DE razors.
