What Razor was made for You?

It took me trying 24 razors, over a period of about 4 years, before I finally landed on the Haircut and Shave Ti Aggressive.

It wasn't just the feeling of holy cow this is fantastic.

It's was realizing there's no point in keeping any of my other razors.

One for travel. And this H&S. For me it's a real disruptor for den downsizing.

Rockwell 6C and 6s. 6s gets much more use, have the 6C as a cheaper travel option. I have tried a bunch of others (Henson, rex, Merkur, Muhle, etc.) which are very nice and gave great shaves....just something about a Rockwell with a 3 plate works the best. can't explain it
We see a story like this a lot where folks invest a lot of money looking for "the one" razor. Gillette figured this out decades ago by focusing adjustable razors that could be "the one" for 95% plus of all shavers. My perspective is that if one is primarily focused on just the shaving experience and wants to invest in a more premium razor well designed adjustables will give you the greatest chance of quickly landing on your "the one". Glad you found yours in the 6s.

I primarily stuck with budget razors (under $15) discarding 2 of the 5 purchased to land on three that worked really well for me. A 60% success rate is better than what we see for many shavers who have journeyed across many more premium tools.

When I finally moved to a more premium razor (it was a gift though the giver did ask about what would be the best choice prior to purchase) it was with a Rockwell T2 where setting #3 is ideal for me. No surprise that this razor uses the same style of adjustment mechanism as is found in vintage Gillettes.

I have only ever used my 60's era Gillette Super Speed. It has performed perfectly right from the start, and I have never felt the need for anything else.
Wish I could say the same for all the other accoutrements! :biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1:

After trying, and I know I'm missing a few, 15 top tier razors, I found the Blackbird Titanium Lite. It was the first razor that I could shave with intuitively. and effortlessly. Every shave is comfortable, close, and enjoyable.

Shane definitely made this one for me.

The razor that was made for me is the carbon cx in copper with the ++ base plate. I love how close and comfortable the shaves with it are. Plus the patina is just beautiful!

The Henson mild razor right now Wow I am 20 plus shaves in and only had one shave bump in a month, which is truly a record for me. I also bought a Rockwell 6S which is awaiting use. The Henson has been doing so well I haven't used the Rockwell yet, but I like the "look" of the Rockwell better so I was so curious to try it. I will soon! I need as mild as I can go, so may start with the 1 or 2 plate.

Is it swell time?
I have many many favourites and right now I wouldn’t want to part with any of them. But the overall winner as it currently stands might be the Executive Shaving Outlaw Classic. I think. Maybe. Definitely. Sort of.
