Thank you. I just finished honing the Bismarck and will use it in the morning. Those look great. I really like the scales on both of them.

I just bought what I think will be my last SR for a while, despite my sudden SRAD. SWMBO is cracking the whip.
But here it is, my new Alex Jacques Custom that should be in the mail today:

Ulrik calls it a turned spacer.
Do you have the contact of Ulrik?
Thank you

All Bengall razors were made in Sheffield. The ones sold in Sweden (1920-1939) were marked with the importer's brand name. Here's a nice hefty Bengall. Before and after a few minutes on the bench.

Still needs just a little more.
Educate me a bit if you will. Most that I've seen are more ornate on the front side of the tang and have writing on the back including the location it was made. This one only has Bengall on it. Are they different or is this one just older? Also, are the ones made in Sweden market so? And anything else you care to share. Thanks

You're welcome MikeThanks again Arne.
Yes they are pretty and lot classier in hand that I initially thought. I does make the user feel special when using. The Spanish point is something to get used too. That is just plain beautiful!!!!!

I've got one, trust me Boris you really need one. One bite of the apple can't hurt now can it?Great looking indeed, in person to me it looked a bit on a small side of 5/8, but really beautiful razor.

Arne ever since Boris got his Koraat razors everything is on the small side.....lol.
I hope that "different" doesn't mean that you're now lacking an earlobe or half the nose.Exactly what I thought when I wanted to "try straight razors", but, well, you know how it went from there.
True, but if I had to pick only one size, it'd be 6/8. That said, Koraat's 8/8 near wedge has grown on me, I just needed a bit time to get used to "different".
