I went to the World War I Museum with one of my sons today, a wonderful museum in Kansas City. I highly recommend it to anyone who might be interested. An item in a display case caught my eye, a razor kit. The card didn’t say what razor it was, it just said it was made by Gillette.

One of the 3.5 million razors, produced by Gillette, distributed to US forces.
Great shavers but can bite. Because so many were supplied they can still be found and used.
Looks like a 1918 Khaki set. Sounds like a great visit. Hope your son enjoyed it.

I was thinking there’s probably some members on this board that have the same razor, & in much better condition. If anyone has a picture of their khaki razor kit, please post.

Nice to see it finish up in a museum. I love museums, I should stop and appreciate them more often.

Very nice assortment there. Well done on the acquirement of these razors. It makes me think of how many families tossed them out after their loved ones died.

It would certainly be worth the visit. There is also the Harry Truman presidential library in the area.
They are fine shavers, especially if a gas attack is imminent. Clean shave = tight fitting gas mask!
