The Real Shaving Company shaving cream....Wow.

Once again extremely impressed by the RSC shaving cream this morning. I have the "Sensitive" formula. The scent is so-so, but it grows on you because it produces such a great lather. Very protective, and slick enough, too.

Personally, I like it considerably better than C.O. Bigelow, and it's about half the price.

To me it lathers up pretty much like Truefitt and Hill creams, and the shave is similar, too. Face feel after the shave is also great. If only they could make it in some nice scents!

Still, an outstanding cream. :w00t:

I have long thought this is an under-rated cream. It's the same quality of TOBS, for 1/3 of the cost.

The only complaint I have against it, is the unique scent.

Still for $5 a tube, this is great quality stuff, and it's available locally!!

I personally can't tell any difference between the Sensitive, and Moisturizing formula.

I think this cream is so great, I included two tubes in "The Big Box Travels" just so others can experience it.

I agree...highly underrated. The mild lime? scent is fine and I too think it lathers like TOBS.

Local, cheap and works great.

I have the moisturizing version, and although shave quality is fine, I can't get past the smell. It smells like a moldy basement to me.

Not sure the smell of the sensitive one is much different. It's certainly not a great smell. But the shave is just superb.

I agree with the previous posters and think it's a great cream. I also can't tell the difference between the sensitive amd moisturizing. Fortunately for me I don't find the smell offensive, it doesn't last very long, and doesn't interfere with the scent of my aftershave.

That shaving cream is manufactured by an English Company called Crabtree who also makes shaving creams for some of the big English shaving soap suppliers.

So it is the same quality as the other creams mentioned. Since it's there own label, maybe it's better. It's certainly very rich and you need very little to fill the brush.

How are you guys lathering it compared to something like proraso cream? Lots of water, little water? I have a tube of the sensitive and so far it seems to not be giving me the slickness and protection of other tube creams I have tried.

I'm not sure what you guys are smelling. The creams remind me both in lathering capability and scent of T&H and TOBS..

The Moisturizing reminds of Grafton and the Sensitive of TOBS St. James, if I recall correctly.

A good cream for under $10. Not my favorite scent, but it's not bad.

I haven't used either cream for many months, but I recall that TRSC cream needs less water than Proraso. Try shaking more water out of your bursh and add a few drops of water at a time.

I have a Muhle silvertip badger brush that seems to hold the perfect amount of water after I shake it. I rarely have to add more than a few drops of water. I use about a 1 1/2" squeeze from the tube. The cream is a little fussy as to water ratio. Too much and it stays thin, too little and you get a paste. You have to experiment.

I didn't have much success when I used my Omega boar brush. It was totally different with a badger.

Great cream I have all TRSC creams but my favorite is the menthol ( which is really not menthol at all ) love the scent, and rich lather.

Both of them have a nutty woodsy type scent to me. In fact I don't think I detected any difference in scent between the Sensitive, and Moisturizing variations.

It seems like it needs both less product and less water when compared with Proraso. Just add water a little tiny bit at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
