Superlather, duh!

I almost always use a combination of soap and cream for my lather. What I've been doing until now is to put a dab of cream on my puck of soap and then swirl the brush on it (loading cream and soap simultaneously), and face-lather. I've got some great lathers this way, but sometimes it's a little messy and, well, aesthetically unpleasing. Prime example: if I put a dab of Trumper's Rose cream on my D.R. Harris Almond or MWF, the soap stays pink for a while.

This morning, out of the blue, I decided to use my fingers to rub spread the cream on my face first, then load the brush with soap and face-lather on top of the cream. It worked like a charm, and I had one of the best lathers ever! :a28:

What's your procedure for making a superlather?

PS: My combo this morning was Erasmic cream (new formulation) + C&E West Indian Lime soap. Really divine!

I use a couple of methods . . .
Arko stick on face, load brush with Cella and then face lather
Dab of Proraso cream in bowl, load brush with soap and then lather in bowl
