The safe bet would be Lagavulin 16 but it’s pricey. To dip your toes in I would get some or the other Islay Blend that don’t state a single distillery or age statement but is still a Single Malt.

Islay with few exceptions is about peat but how much you like you have to decide yourself.

Bruichladdich 10 would be an easy, Laphroig Quarter Cask a hard start

Independent bottlers will bring you expressions of the region for a good price.

The last of the copper dog bottle putting my mind at ease. Having to put down one of my dogs tomorrow morning. This stuff isn't bad for the price but I will probably not buy it again. Kinda light, very fruity, and pretty sweet. It was enjoyable overall.

Polished this off last week. Will probably be repurchased at some point. Replaced it with my first bottle of Ardbeg, which I have not had the opportunity to partake in yet.

I dismissed Ardbeg for like 10? years as I found their marketing pushy and overhyped. Now I have tried in rather short time a good chunk of their portfolio (An Noa, 5y, 10y, Corryvreckan and Uigeadail) and have to concede that the offerings are very decent.

Personally the Uigeadail is my favorite

WR Double Oaked. Finished it off as an old fashioned. ‘‘Twas quite good bourbon. I still prefer my go to WT101 over it though. Trying to decide what to get next.
