Hello B&Bers!

I just realized that I have way too many samples… of everything!

For this SOTD Theme Week, let’s see your samples and small format shaving items!

Show us your small travel razors, trial size soaps and aftershave/cologne samples, travel or small brushes or anything else on the smaller size that is shaving related!

This week‘s theme is easy… post pics of your samples or small shaving items! If there is an interesting story around the acquisition of said items, we’d love to hear about it.

If you don’t have anything themed, post pics of your usual SOTD or just tell us about it!

As always, being creative and having fun IS mandatory but sticking with the theme is NOT mandatory but very strongly encouraged.

Let’s see your samples/small shaving items!

Pre-Shave: Cold Water splash
Razor: Mühle Rocca R95
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Mühle Purist Silvertip Badger Ebonite
Bowl: DSC scuttle
Soap: PAA- Coconut & Oud (sample)
Alum: none
A/S: Murphy & McNeil - Magh Tured
Aftercare: Thayers Witch Hazel Unscented
EdP: Tom Ford - Oud Wood

First shave after a 5 day break. Started with a 2 pass WTG shave resulting in a nice CCS. The Rocca performed beautifully with a new GSB.

As it is sample week, I finished the remaining soap of my PAA Coconut & Oud sample, but had to lather a bit from my Mühle Sandalwood puck for the second pass. This was a great performing soap from PAA.

Completed the shave with Thayers Witch Hazel and Magh Tured Aftershave balm, matching with Tom Ford Oud Wood for a lovely start into a new week.

I am starting the week off with a different razor: My Timeless SS SB .68. This is one of my favorite razors. I put a new Wizamet blade in it. The shave was close and smooth. The next brush in my rotation is the SOC boar. To me, this is an unusual brush for a boar. The brush blooms much more than the typical boar brush. The vintage Williams is on its 110th use. I don’t see that many more shaves with it. A perfect shave. Have a wonderful day, folks.

Razor : Gem MicroMatic Clog Pruf (Peerless 17 nibbed Safety Bar variant) Mfg 1945, mid range. Excellent design and stamping technology for that era with a rack & pinion blade clamping design that is very very rare in any razor ever made to date. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (7) Very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle!
Soap : Ach Brito Lavada cream, nice scented lavender with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my best badger brushes for performance handle ergonomics.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito splash cologne scented with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf with a coated Gem blade.
