Fantastic shave, no irritation, no blood, soft skin , excellent post shave .
I tried a lot of DE and finally the 34g is the best for me, close, soft, efficient
I tried a lot of soaps and MDC give me very good results every time.
Very satisfied with Plisson synthetic, 34g , super irridium, MDC and Myrsol Agua balsamica.

Have a good day

My weekend shaves! Smooth and very clean!

Worth to mention Filomatic products (most famous old Spanish brands), the excellent Weber and not less excellent Jabonman soap.

Cheers!

Mastro Livi "The Last New Grind", 6/8 Half Hollow, Round Point
Today shave is dedicated to the endless talent of Mastro Livi and his art. Brush, strop and razor are all made by Mastro Livi and, by the way, the straight razor is very special. Not only for being a superb shaver, but also for the fact this is the very last new grind ever made by Mastro Livi, the one ending the glorious story of those seventy years old blades and brought to life by Mastro Livi. This is the razor I filmed in the video I made in which Mastro Livi tells the story of these blades and razor. By the way, the shave was superb, the brush super soft and pleasing, the lavender smell of Weleda soap was simply a lovely touch to this amazing shave.

  • Pre-Shave: Proraso Pre-Shave Green
  • Soap: Weleda Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Mastro Livi Silvertip Badger Brush - Knot 26mm
  • Bowl: Old Barber Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm Stropping
  • Razor: Mastro Livi "The Last New Grind", 6/8 Half Hollow, Round Point
  • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • After Shave: Floïd Masaje Genuino Mentolado Vigoroso After Shave

Sunday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Cocoa Butter Bath Soap
Soap: Coate’s Lime Cream
Razor: Gillette FH Tech(Triangle Slots)/Maggard MR1 Handle
Blade: Personna Med Prep (5)
Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip-22mmx48mm
Aftershave: Proraso Green

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Coate’s Lime today-always great performance. I am still with the MR1 handle on my Fat Handle Tech using a Med Prep blade. Another smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Proraso Green.

Razor: Ever Ready 1924 "Shovel Head"
Blade: GEM blade PTFE
Soap: Mike's Rose & Cedarwood
Brush: Omega 10065
A/S: Pinaud Citrus Musk/VIBR combo

Shaved August 31

PRE: Myrsol emulsion

RAZOR: Knife A. French Vedell

BRUSH: Semogue 2013 silvertip Foroafeitado

SOAP: LOccitane '

FOAM: In face

POST: Lemon and Myrsol Myrsol emulsion

Ya think I'm going with the razor less hesitant because I feel more confident but I do not let my guard down because I had two micro cuts.
I shave for the moment but I have done against the grain in the neck that is where I had the slightest incident that has been micro cut only.

So far the use once at the end of the week I feel calmer to work it.

$el4oVV.jpg

Prep: Shower and Pacific Shaving Pre Shave Oil
Razor: Valet Autostrop
Blade: Pella GEM PTFE coated
Brush: Generic Black Badger
Soap/Cream: Cyril R Salter French Vetiver
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Cat O' Nine
Results: An excellent nearly BBS shave with virtually zero irritation. The Salter creams are always top performers, and the autostrop is one of my favorite vintage razors (even if preparing blades takes a little bit of work).
