Thanks for all your help. The proraso pro is a great brush! I will get the omega 011842 as well. Into end of the month! I will put up a separate post on it. Thanks for your help. Once purchased!

Lol
Those are pretty. When I get a thick black hair in a boar (like in the left of your pic), I use a pair of nail clippers to chop it down as far as I can, without forcing the knot hairs apart. I find those hairs can be quite pokey.
Sound reasoning! These have several so-called guide hairs, but they are not pokey...and will leave them be.
A boar benefits from 48 hours of rest after use, so it makes great sense to have a matched set.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Jims posts usually contain some good humor, something yours seem to sorely lack. Why would I want to do that, it would just give me someone else's opinion.

All cleaned shaved and no place can goThe only reason I have extra free time on my hands is due to being snowed in where i live, can't get the car out of my garage for a long while. Sudbury Ontario. The weather here is crazy!
Brushes normally lose a few bristles that don’t get set when first used. It will become a rarity.Have you guys had any shedding issues with the connaught omega brush?
I've only used mine 3 times, but it's shed about 3-4 bristles per shave. I know it's normal for them to shed in the beginning, but in my experience once a shedder, always a shedder.

I guess I must be lucky, of all the many boar brushes I have used none of them ever shed more than 2 or 3 hairs total.
Omega or Semogue.
