First off, I don't smoke! Well, there was that one time when I set fire to myself welding underneath the car but that's a different story!
I do however always carry with me a lighter. Not sure why. Just a quirk I guess. Sometimes my dad's old Dupont (love that PING! on opening it) but more usually just a shiny Zippo. As a contact lens wearer I find it makes a handy mirror!
I have noticed though that my skin seems to be getting sensitive to it. I carry it in the little pocket of my Levis. The small, front one on the right hand side and I noticed that sometimes I feel a tingling sensation on my hip under the lighter. The other day I noticed the skin was a little red there.
I guess perhaps I have become sensitised to the napthalene used in the lighter fluid. Indeed the sensation is much more pronounced after I have filled the lighter.
Was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?
Will have to switch to a gas lighter or start carrying a pocket watch there instead I guess
