Brush handle #5 26mm silvertip Maggad knot. I will be trying out some shorter handles next. 20190309_150735.jpg 20190309_150757.jpg

  1. Nice, what type of wood is that?

  2. It didn't say on the block I bought, but it looks to be red heart.

  3. I was able to snag some 2"x4"x2" blocks out of a scrap bin for next to nothing.

  4. Cool. It has nice color.

    +1!!!!

  6. Brush handle #6 26mm Maggard synthetic knot. I used up the rest of the red heart for this other tall handle. Next ones will have shorter profiles. I can't get enough of this! 20190311_144317.jpg 20190311_144406.jpg 20190311_144424.jpg

  7. I really like the proportions and shape of this one it looks more balanced. Good work.

  8. Thanks! Yeah, tweaking it a bit every time I turn a new one.

  14. Yes it is. Have you had a chance to use it yet?

  15. I'm starting to get the hang of it.

  16. What are everyone's favorite brush handle shapes? Post some pictures of your favorites. I have been recreating my favorite type, but I want to expand the shapes a bit. Looking for insight

I like to experiment with shapes that fit My Hands .
I tend to go with knob ends and a little bigger handle .

  19. I agree. That is what I have been doing. Clearly most of my handles have come out quite similar. Did you try the CA wood finish you ordered? Is it on the pic you just posted?
