What's new

Mama Bear's blows my mind!

I just got some Hydrogen and Rosemary Mint soap from Mama Bear's, and it is amazing! If ever there were a soap which could cure SSAD, this would be it. The lather is incredible, the smell amazing, and the feel of the stuff...out of this world! All desire to try other soaps has vanished, and I just want to try more Mama Bear's!

I tried Awakenings for the first time yesterday. There's nothing subtle at all about the face freeze there. Crazy! :w00t:

Rosemary Mint is without a doubt great.

There is however no cure for SSAD.
The need to try out more Mama Bear´s is quite common though...

Just another case of MMBAD - more Mama Bear AD

I've completely used up one puck each of Mama Bear's Bergamot, Lime, and Basil and Lime and enjoyed all three of them very much.

I'm intrigued...but does it smell like roses? Not a fan of that scent.

Rosemary is an evergreen needle that to me does not smell like rose. More like . . . well a Christmas Tree (spruce). I'd say that the Rosemary Mint soap, which I used this morning, is mostly mint dominant.

I love Mama Bear soaps. Being in Canada I tend to order 6 or so at a time to save on postage. Tons of fun for less than 10 bucks . . . you can't go too far wrong.

Agreed. I ordered the Rosemary Lemongrass and got Rosemary Mint by mistake. Once I finally used it, I was glad to have been "wronged"! Between Fleur de Soul and Rosemary Mint, I'm comfortable; everything else is just icing on the cake. That reminds me...

I'm just starting my Mama Bear journey and have only tried about five different scents so far. However, believe it or not, my favorite has been the Frankincense and Myrrh. Smells incredible. It doesn't smell like Christmas at all. Beautiful and elegant, but no feminine. Almost regal. It's hard to explain. Kind of like a mild spice with a very light powdery note.

It's lightly scented. However, I wish it was a little stonger so that it would linger a bit when the shave is done. Perhaps I can have it added to an AS.

This is a great thread and I hope it continues with more opinions because I'm taking notes for my next MB order. :thumbup1:

I bet Mama could make some big bucks with that nose of hers.
The soaps performs well, no doubt. But the scents :001_wub::001_wub::drool:

I have this shaving soap, as well. It smells wonderful, as you say. However, my puck is quite strongly scented. Maybe I just smell it differently?

As for an AS or cologne, I know Czech and Speake makes a Frankincense and Myrhh cologne, but I've never smelled it. You could ask Sue if she could spike her unscented AS with the same fragrance. She might be able to pull that off.

I tried the Frankincense and Myrhh as a sample sliver. Although it shouldn't make a difference in strength compared to the puck, unless the sliver had some age on it perhaps. However, I plan on ordering a tub regardless and maybe I'll get lucky and find the scent lingers a while.

You have been lucky; Rosemary Mint is one of the must-have Mama Bear scents.
I also have her shampoo in the same scent. I liked that much better than the Dublin Tweed.

'Mama Bear' Sue also advised Fleur de Soul for one of my aftershaves (as I keep on nagging about recreating some Malle's scents - which won't happen in our lifetime I am afraid).
It is a great scent! I am glad she came up with it.

It is: A blend of Rosewood, black pepper and a touch of patchouli. Spice, wood and rose.
It is not Noir Epices, but it is absolutely insanely nice.
