What's new

I sayeth unto you, thou shalt giveth unto me thine razor!

Saw this on an auction.

Q: Hello, I'm interested in the razor as it looks identical to one my late grandfather had; I am going away on holiday tomorrow and wondered if you had a buy-it-price price; my wife says that as you are a charity I can spend up to £30. Would that be acceptable? Many thanks The Rev. Oliver Harrison

A: sorry sir, we will let the auction run

His wife has influence over how much he can spend but even Jesus has no influence over the auction.:lol::lol::lol:

It's probably some reseller shamelessly invoking religion to get a better price. And if it's not, it's just as bad.

Perhaps the Rev. feels that his title deserves special status. Last time I checked all were created equal, perhaps looking at the Bible rather than church doctrine might assist his humility!

That hits one of my hot points because God's word clear states that a person should receive a fair compensation for his or her goods.

Pro 11:1 A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
Pro 16:11 A just weight and balance [are] the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag [are] his work.
Pro 20:23 Divers weights [are] an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance [is] not good.

Besides, I call my pastor either "Pastor" or by his name because only God is to be revered.

Ouch, if it is a huckster then it hits another hot point. Either way it smells very bad :thumbdown!
