from my 1957 catalogue:
MK 1, 3 and 5 were basically MK 2, 4, 6 with white scales, all full hollow
MK 8 4/8 and 5/8 were MK 7 with white scales, all half hollow, like MK 10 and 12
MK 22, 23, 24 are described as quarter hollow
