Heljestrand Model Details and Images

The wiki has a fine resource on C.V. Heljestrand models, drawn from the good folk here.

In order to build out the model table further, it would be great to populate the remaining empty cells, and to add photographs for those models that do not currently have them.

If you have a Heljestrand, and it is not fully documented there, please post the details here so I can update the page.

If you are able to take a photo, and upload it to a gallery here, I'll be able to add that as well.

Thanks for helping to make the wiki an awesome resource for shavers everywhere! :badger:

I see the table shows size of the MK24 as 3/8-9/16. They were also available in 5/8 and were marked as such on the tang. I'll also see what else I have as I know I have at least one razor only marked CV Heljestrand and no model number.

As Polarbeard said, get a Heljestrand (or several) and enjoy the shave.

Let's not discourage the effort.
Someone seems to be passionate about those great razors and trying to share that passion. I am all for it.
If I was not so lazy (and busy), I'd do the same for Le Grelot.

I have a missing piece from the wiki, the elusive MK 12. Similar to MK13 but bigger. 15/16 or 8/8 (I never actually measured it)

No 42

Same as the 41, except that the 41 maybe has a non-square point instead.

1/4 ground, 11/16-In tortoisehell (why you think I have my username?) 😁

"Thursday"

Apologies for bad room light making the scales look muted :/

Couple things I noticed from the list. The MK 22 is 6/8, not 5/8. The 24 is 4/8 unless it's specifically stamped 5/8 like the one @PintoPlain posted. I have a 4/8 24 that was NOS when I got it, I'll try to dig up a picture.

The other thing I would say is that in the MK29-32 range, the point styles seem to vary from squarish to roundish to frenchish. I'm not sure if it has to do with when they were made or just the mood of the person grinding it.
