What's new

First time using C.O Bigelow.and its ON SALE!

So I was reading various posts here as to what shaving cream was good to use. Proraso came up many, many times but Im an impatient man and didnt want to wait for the shipping.... sooo.... found out that C.O Bigelow is manufactured by Proraso, many have said it is very similar, almost identical... well, took a trip to my local Bath and Body Works and got a big tube. They carry many C.O.B products, but only the green shaving cream. Just finished shaving and I have to say, it feels very nice when its on your face and you only need a tiny bit to get a good lather going. It has Eucalyptus oils in it and leaves your face feeling soft and tingly (sorry, couldnt find any other manly word to use).... I only got one tube, it set me back only $10 which I think is comparable to Proraso on Amazon. BUT, Bath and Body Works is having a SALE, buy 2 C.O.B and get 1 FREE. I didnt take advantage of it since I didnt know if I was going to like it, but its a really good deal if your in need of some. Check it out. Thumbs up from me on this one.

I use it all the time and like it. The good thing is it is available locally and the sale runs practically year round. Enjoy your shaves.

Ahh,.. I did not know the sale was ongoing... I usually stay behind when my wife goes in to that store... now I know. Thanks!

I LOVE COB, and, agree with this....

Try their Mentha Bath Soap sometime. You might like it.

I squeeze out my brush and plaster on all the leftovers after my last pass. I leave in on for a few minutes and it continues to cool my face.

Just so you know, it is Proraso (but probably the pre-2012 formulation, check if the ingredients contain parabens - if it does, its "old" formula), and that sale, as August West noted, is pretty much year round. Every once and a while, it goes on sale for buy 2 get 2 free. But even if not, its still a great price for a venerated product.

It actually does not have parabens, so this must be a newer formulation... good thing too because parabens apparently is known to cause breast tumors... dont want that.... anyways, Im going to have to keep my out for these deals and hopefully they start carrying the other flavors.

Google C.O. Bigelow in BadgerandBlade.com and you'll find discussions from this summer about how you can compound sales and promos to bring the price of a 5.7oz tube down to about $5. I bought six, and include them in my super cost-effective DE shaving gift kits. It's one of the best deals in shaving creams for a high performing, mid-market cream at bottom of the market price. And, fyi, the tingle comes from the menthol. Love the combo.
