Ebay Razor

Unfortunately, this is in fact a real razor. Moderator "thirdeye" purchased a similar razor, and found it to also be a horrible disaster. I believe the actual razor maker is Omex.

I love that they didn't make any attempt to sand away the jagged edges of the slots in the head.

In fact, I don't know too many milling machines, or punches that would leave behind that much of a jagged mess. Was the cutter just excessively dull? Looks more like the metal was ripped away than cut.

I'm thinking they are using a mold type scenario to make these. That looks like the flashing left over after using a mold to cast metal, that was never cleaned up. After what I read about the chinese jewelry mfg process, this would make sense. Probably has high levels of cadmium.

Does anyone else think this looks like a smiling robot with a big nose?

On the general E-Bay subject, I find it to be somewhere between totally frustrating/infuriating, and a little fun. Was bidding the other day on a "Big Boy" for 2 days I was the high bidder and nobody showed any interest. In truth, it was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but in the last 10 seconds of the auction 2 guys swooped in and out bid me before I could even react! Now, I admit I am an e-bay novice, but I was kind of put off by the "shark" mentality. Menawhile, I purchased an item here from B/S/T and it could not have been a more plesant experience.

Those two guys were using one of the E-Bay Snipping services, that auto bids for you. Time has proven, that bidding on an auction prior to the last few minutes of the sale does nothing but drive the price up, and hence these snipping services have become quite popular.

from http://gixen.com

Sniping is submitting your bid to eBay just a few seconds before an auction ends. This way other bidders have no time to raise their maximum bid. Gixen is a service that conducts automatic bidding for you.

This is not an endorsement, interwebs have several sniping services available.
