DRH Arlington Stick

With some summer travel coming up, I figured it'd be a good opportunity to not only try a shave stick, but have my first run in with some DRH as well (and give face lathering a real go ahead). Did two test lathers; first with a boar SOC - didn't have enough soap, but was able to get enough lathered up for a pass. Rinsed it off and went at round two with a Kent BLK8 in which I fared much better. All in all, DRH is really all it's cracked up to be - thick, slick, creamy lather. I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing about this stupid brush, but the BLK8 was easily up to the task of face lathering it as well. I'm starting to see why everyone is on board the face lathering train...

You and that Arly stick will have a great future together. I foresee two or three of months of excellent shaves.

The great thing about a stick is that the brush has less work to do. It still does the lathering and it can still deliver a nice massage, but it does not have to load the soap. So face-lathering with a stick can affect your taste in brushes.
