GIVEAWAY! La Toja sticks, Old formula (c. 2011)

Hahahaha, that's my stash! But I have so many soaps, I decided to PIF a couple. You, sir, are most certainly all set!

Whoa, just saw you said tallow! Those predate mine. Excellent.
Actually, not tallow! My mistake! But the good veggie sticks. 2011-13 or so, as well.

You are welcome!

I’ll shut this down on Friday, surprised it’s not garnering more participants, but my goal is not large numbers, but getting these to those who know they love it and got caught off guard by the change. Better odds for you folks!

Picking winners this morning. Although not many passed the rules test, I’m happy that I have a small number of disappointed La Toja lovers who got caught off guard by the reformulation. Your chances are good!

Last call.

@BigJ Waiting on your response to this. You said not in as you have some of the newer sticks. Apparently that stuff is garbage, and you can be in, as long as you don't have a new, unused, reserve stick of the old stuff.

I think you want to be in this, if you are an old La Toja fan. Please reply one way or the other so I can do the names spin. Thank you.

I love that wheel of names things, I used to do it the geeky way, using Excel and a random number function. This is more fun.

PM me your names and adresses, gents, Thanks for playing!

AND ... @mayer57619, PM me your address, too. I just lucked into a bunch of tallow Tabac on eBay, so I decided to PIF three of these sticks.

And to those who have not tried this, thanks for following my restrictive rules. When a product disappears from the market, I'd rather have it go to someone who would really miss it. Like my story about the Fatip razor in the OP, I'd hate to send a discontinued product to someone who may not end up liking it while a true fan goes without.

Thanks for playing, folks!

great offerings lately. thanks for your generosity.

not in. I did try it. the one you're giving away (edit: oops, no... the tallow version). didn't like it. didn't really like the scent (too powdery floral, what can I say, I have a sensitive soul). didn't like the post shave dryness from the salts. didn't stock up on them back when. didn't buy another stick. don't even remember what happened to the one I did buy. probably passed it along.

Volabra now. didn't like the floral scent on it either (maybe La Toya wasn't floral, just a... funky to me soapy scent. still didn't use up that stick. still didn't like it, so more for y'all in the hunt). but that performance. man... I miss the good tallows that have fallen by the wayside.

second edit: also very generous with the Tabac. another stellar performance, revolting to me scent. you give away some Irish Moos, I'm in for a spin with that (but never even smelled one, or held one).

@KW Driver I agree. I've found some amazing non-tallow soaps lately, Haslinger, Ethos, S.V., but I sure do miss the old tallows that gone by the wayside.

I just lucked into some tallow Tabac on the 'Bay. Keep your eyes peeled, I may do a PIF of a couple of those when they arrive. It's hard to pick a favorite out of one's half-dozen top soaps, but if someone put a gun to my head and made me choose, it just might be tallow Tabac.

I'm hard out on the Tabac. granny's boudoir makes me want to hurk.

I was so very happy to see no change in performance with Hasslinger's reformulation.

No kidding. I never tried the old Haslinger, but the current stuff is wonderful.

Good luck, @Marco at least you are well-supplied with La Toja while you search for the next one. Happy hunting!
