DG - Milksteak base, produced some serious lather for me!
Today I was reminded of how great Stirling mutton tallow base is when I used Stirling Glastonbury for another go. Creamy rich lather.
I also like Declaration Grooming Milksteak, B&M Excelsior and Soft Heart, Grooming Dept, M&M Kodiak, Zingari Man Sego, Wholly Kaw Siero and Tallow & Steel for a few other great lathering soaps.

Fantastic base.
Stirling - Any of them, super easy to lather
Tabac Original - Again, no issues making a nice thick, creamy lather
Proraso - Never an issue lathering
Honorable Mentions: All lather quite well, but take a few more swirls to load the brush

Recommend me a scent to order. Or two.
For me, Dragons Blood is #1. Roasted Oatmeal Stout is also quite good.
Interesting... Reserve did not perform well for you ?
It's "just OK" for me.
Someone posted a video clip of the B+M Guy with West Coast Shaving recently,
talking about how to best lather-up the Reserve.
The B+M guy talks about high vs low structure lathers.
(B+M = Low, MdC = High)
I think I'm finding I like "high structure" best.
I don't know how I've missed this thread, but I'll jump in late with my list. Best soap base, bar none, for me is Ethos. The others are not close to making it to #1. But here's my list:
