April 2021 Gentlemanly Restraint Until Month End (GRUME)

Shock came in and I installed it today. Hence, between the shave and getting my scooters 100% operational, I hereby change my profile picture. I'm sure one of you gentlemen will tell me to grow the beard back long.

Razor: Rockwell 6S R3, Boots #3
Post-shave: Hyaluronic acid, Nivea 2-Phase Lotion.
Got the usual easy DFS with this one.

It appears to be that the 830 is finally getting fully broken in. I have had struggles with this brush ‘eating’ lather and not having enough for three passes. Today was great however! Plenty of lather for 3 passes plus leftovers! Thoroughly enjoyed this shave today! Have a great day y’all!

I vote for the handlebars to come back.
Ha. Retired from the Army after 29 years. I’m about as far from a hipster as you can get. I’m pretty much a knuckle dragger. I feel 30 though.

Hi there, welcome to the forum! GRUYERE stands for Gentlemanly Restraint Until Year End RElief. It’s the year long sabbatical from shaving related purchases. No such thing as silly questions here. From my experience everyone has been very willing to help answer any questions I’ve had. And there is a wealth of knowledge that people are very generous to share! Again, welcome to B&B!

Oh damn! Now i get it! The "Shave Trek" Sabbatical is the GRUYERE! So maybe i can't be GRUYERE. I asked there if it is too late to join or not. If they tell me no, then i will remove GRUYERE from here too.
