I guess I am boring... at the end of this month I am likely to be 4 in a row. I was getting a bit concerned as I moved over thanksgiving week and had not located the boxes with shaving stuff (reserves). While searching for winter coats I found a couple of boxes that contain enough shaving supplies to last about another zillion years so I will head into 2020 with enough back stock to last decades.
Now since our fearless leader is a consummate story teller and in my experience racing is a team sport I figure I should warn everyone that I will be depend on some teammates to help in this race.
I can't remember when Simpson showed up but he has become indispensable over that years. He tends the garden and when I host large parties he works tirelessly with the preparations and most of the guests think he is my butler. He always is very good at solving problems but I occasionally need to question his education as he keeps claiming that he is 55 and will be retiring soon (I am beginning to wonder how many years he will be claiming to be 55 and retiring soon...) He will accompany me on this race to help make the rigors of the road a bit more tolerable.
One day Vitos showed up on my door asking for work. I didn't having anything at the time but he was persistent and would drop by from time to time asking for work. Last February, he knocked at the right time and I put him to work. The guy is built like a brick. He claims he only weighs 820 grams but I think he means kilograms! He has proven quite useful this year and he isn't afraid of hard work. I am in awe at how much he can lift but at the same time I am impressed with his nature gentleness.
I realize that there isn't alot of room in the cab of a ford pickup so there are a few consessions that I will need to make to get all three of us in the cab. First I will probably not be able to bring enough wine for the journey so I will be laying in a few cases of Lagavoulin. I have been told by some that it could be used as a backup source of fuel but I prefer it to that Macallan rot gut that can't even seem to work as lamp oil.
So that is the back story of an otherwise boring participant. I would love to get into the IPA bet but I suspect that pbrmhl and others would just assume that I am trying to take their beer (and rightly so).
Ruckin (still in - lol)
