I admire your "restraint". You don't plan on buying 20-30 years worth!

Before this question, I was planning to use the "buy as needed" approach for a 2020s 10-year restraint. Now, I decided to use the "desert island" approach. 24 pucks of Williams and 200 Astra SP's are all I need to buy. I might just make it to 20 years on the soap. The blades should last closer to 30. Me? Who knows?

It would seem that the rules you quoted yourself in your post are pretty clear. Participants are allowed one exception which is a one time, ONE ITEM purchase. The rule then went on to further clarify ONE razor or ONE soap or ONE box of blades... A single purchase of three pucks would be three items, a violation of the rule.

I think in the past they’ve also said if you have to ask, the answer is you probably shouldn’t be doing it.

By soap, do you mean one puck, bowl, stick, etc., or would a single purchase of 3 pucks, etc., be Ok?

Maybe @Earcutter is making plans to just buy the company. Personally I think it's a slightly underhanded way to get around the, "one item" clause of the rule. I assume once you own the company you would get to use whatever preexisting products you want without failing. But buying materials to make new products might make you fail.

That’s hilarious! Now I wonder if it’s a publicly traded company.

In retrospect, I think I’ll change it to a (undisclosed) mentholated aftershave come summer. I usually enjoy Prorasso, but maybe I’ll get something else. All I know is come the dog days... I always buy a new mentholated aftershave.
