Ok, now that that got your attention - in all seriousness, is this really "the razor to end all razor desires and RAD"?
Because, I mean, there's seemingly nothing wrong with it. It's Stainless Steel, flawless quality, best shave, and there's an option for everybody. I haven't seen a single poor review of this.

My question is - is there ANYONE who has a poor review of it? Ok, maybe not even poor review, but a tiny criticism (besides the price tag)? A flaw you may find in it?
Heck, I'll even settle for a "this razor is second only to my _______".

...Anyone?

It is a good razor. I owned a titan handled H1 for a while. I found it to be just another high end razor and no better or worse than all of my other high end razors.

Personally I like variety so I would much rather have many different razors than one that can have different base plates. BUT that is just me and NOT a recommendation :aureola:

I like it in the same way I like a (say) Mercedes 600SL.
-Would I buy it? No, even if I could afford it.
-Is it good? Probably it is very good.
-Would I recommend it to someone who likes it and can afford it? Of course I would :)

The question to ask is... Is it worth $399 ?!
i know you get a good combination but I would prefer to spend that sort of coin on some exquisite vintage razors.
i for one could not justify the pricing alone, SWMBO would have kittens!!

I bought the set and I am satisfied with it. I still keep my R41 and slant in the rotation. I will not buy another razor unless ATT or Tradere releases a slant. It is nice to have the different base plates and handles. I mostly use the H and R base plates and get awesome shaves from both.

What? No open comb? :001_tt2:

True. That's a good point - the only one I could find, besides the obsolete pricing criticism.

Off topic, what's the breed of dog in your picture? It looks really cute - is there some malamute in there? Great Pyrenees?

And what's with the crazed obsession with Gillettes and vintage razors? I feel like people are flocking towards them just because they're Gillettes and vintage.
...Oh, wait. That's precisely what I'm doing with stainless steel razors.... Point taken.

Here's a purebred Samoyed. He's our 3rd over many years. Fabulous dogs. Love to be around people. There are several Sammy owners on the boards here. We've joked about forming a "club."

I'm sure there are lots of reasons folks want the old razors. For me, it started when we bought a 100-year-old house. The Master bathroom has the original medicine cabinet, so I just had to get a razor to match. That was the first of many.

I own the ATT Titan with the H and R base plates. It's a great razor and it happens to be my go to razor. I do a lot of traveling and It's the only razor I bring. However I still like using my other razors especially my Gillette fatboy. When I got it I thought that it would be my last razor for a while but that only lasted a few weeks. In fact I just ordered a Muhle R41 Grande. I can say if I only had the option of having one razor I would choose my ATT Titan. In my opinion the quality is second to none, and it should be for the price and it has a nice weight to it and feels good in the hand. The only negative I can find with it, and I really had to dig to find a negative, is the ability to change the blade but you get use to it after a couple times.
