Your favorite opening 30 seconds to a song is??

Changed my mind.
30 seconds includes Richard Burton, opening guitar and "I left alone"

what i'd give for that hat to be medicine..a favorite from way back when...liked trace better though, but nice on the medicine hat

Agree that Trace is a slightly better album, it's number one on my all time list, but this song just give me chills. I've seen them do Medicine Hat live several times and it takes my breath away every time. How about this for an opening:

Wow! 82 posts and no one has mentioned this one?

But then the opening is more like 60 seconds, not 30.

Dragonforce Body Breakdown.
Its the only song of theirs that I'm like "I could do that" then it goes all crazy
This guitar throughout this song still blows my mind.

Funeral for a Friend-Elton John
Bustin' out for Rosie-Tommy Bolin
Well I'm bustin out for Rosie
Cause she told me I'm her boy
I'm feeling crisp and toasty
And my soul is jumpin for joy

For me it's Painkiller by Judas Priest. It starts off with a badass drum beat that gets a nice groove going then it explodes into one of the most bitchin' guitar riffs ever!

A close second is Where Eagles Dare by Iron Maiden, whenever I'm heading off on a trip it's the first song I listen to. As soon as we start moving that drum roll hits and we're on our way lads!

Any Kansas song. I can't get enough. Am I the only one here? Song or America; Incomudro; Magnum Opus; I could go on.
